WordPress functionality can be greatly modified and extended by plugins. There are nearly 16,000 free plugins in the WordPress plugin repository, and there are many more commercial extensions available.
Some plugins change what site visitors see, or add new features for their use. Others are strictly for the benefit of the site administrators and content providers.
Plugins can easily be switched on and off at the Plugins control panel.
The following plugins have been selected to enhance the Region web site.
